football fiction

This is going to be the home of my new football fiction blog.

I’ve a number of reviews lined up already including Tom Palmer’s books, David Beckham’s Football Academy, Megs, Heartland, Mal Peet’s Exposure and many more.

I’ve also been fortunate enough to score an interview with Andrew C Ferguson whose new chap book The Secret Of Scottish Football (reviewed too) features a couple of football fictive gems and a foreword by Pat Nevin, a footballer famed for his intelligence – he liked music and books and that. Apparently it made him stand out in the dressing room. I’d really like to discuss it with him.

I’ve also just finished a major redraft of my own YA football fiction. That’s the reason it’s taken me so long to get to this. So I will probably discuss that too.

The format will follow the blog’s predecessor and will always relate – there’s just too much good stuff on it to let it go to waste.

Have a look for yourself…http://thesimplestgame.blogspot.com/
